You must be a CMEA/NAfME member or be sponsored by one. If you are a private studio teacher and not a member, you may be sponsored by a member. They must complete the online registration for you. Any member that has not previously registered in the online system must register as a new director. To join NAfME/CMEA, click here. Annual membership is $146.
When scheduling, make sure accompanist/performer times don't conflict. We often get a time request for and EARLY AM time for the performer... but a LATE PM request for the accompanist.
Make sure to spell the name of the student EXACTLY the same if doing two solos will help. Computers treat "John Smith" and "John Smith" differently (two spaces between John and Smith in the 2nd one)
If a student is in multiple ensembles... consider doing time requests to make sure they are spaced (i.e..... AM time request for Sax Trio and Late PM for Sax Quartet).... that gives much more wiggle room for addressing the students who are doing multiple ensembles.
Don't put ALL entries in as EARLY AM or LATE PM... unless it is absolutely necessary..... those create restrictions to building the schedule.... especially if they aren't needed.
